(Some of) Claire's Favourite Fiction Podcasts of 2019

Posted by

At the risk of sounding like we're showing off (no one likes a bighead, Claire) we have had yet another great year of events here and so here are a few of my favourite podcasts from the fiction section.

We went to St Georges Church, Bloomsbury, to hear John Lanchester talk about his latest novel, The Wall, with Daniel Soar; Edouard Louis and Kerry Hudson for Who Killed My Father and Sally Rooney with Kishani Widyaratna talking about Normal People.

Some more of my favourite novels of the year were discussed in the shop and it was a delight to welcome Tayari Jones and Cathy Retzenbrink, Deborah Levy and Shahidha Bari, Nicola Barker and Ali Smith, Ali Smith and Erica Wagner, Chloe Aridjis and Juliet Jacques and Diane Williams and Lara Pawson to discuss, dissect and read from some of the best fiction released this year.

There are too too many to list all of them here but a big big thank you to everyone (authors and audience alike) who came and joined us and shared with us in 2019. See you in the new year for more great conversations – you can already book for 2020 events here.
