In her new biography Edward Thomas: From Adlestrop To Arras (Bloomsbury), Jean Moorcroft Wilson explores one of the most influential and overlooked English poets: his friendships with Joseph Conrad, Rupert Brooke and Robert Frost, his bizarre marriage, his laudanum dependence and his tragically early death on the first day of the Battle of Arras. Moorcroft Wilson will be at the shop to talk about Thomas with Nicholas Murray, whose group biography of the War Poets, The Red Sweet Wine of Youth, was published in 2012 by Little, Brown.
