We are excited to announce our third London Review Cake Shop Pickle Competition.
Join us for an evening to celebrate our favourite culinary hobby… preserving and pickling!
There are no categories for the competition, we welcome all genres and styles of pickling and fermenting (including, but not limited to: chutneys, vinegars, relishes, jams, cordials, infused spirits and home brews). All entries will be picked apart by our exceptional panel of expert judges: our guest judge, Alicia Lawson of Rubies in the Rubble pickles, along with our very own Pickle Poet John Clegg, Sauerkraut specialist Gayle Lazda and Cake Shop ambassador Danielle Hinman.
Ticket price includes a welcome drink and the opportunity to enter the competition. There will be a presentation and tasting session of the pickles from 6 p.m.
All entries must be registered before 5 p.m. - but you don't need to enter the competition to come along and enjoy the pickling party atmosphere! Bar opens at 4 p.m., serving a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. We will be serving complimentary pickle nibbles throughout the evening.
Only one entry per person, prizes will be given to first, second and third place. There will also be smaller prizes for honourable mentions, at the behest of the judges.
