An evening with Curzon Home Cinema: 'Innocence of Memories' with Grant Gee

Fully Booked
London Review Bookshop

Join us for a screening of 'Innocence of Memories', Grant Gee’s sensual, nocturnal journey through the streets of Istanbul.

Grant Gee’s film starts in Orhan Pamuk’s Museum of Innocence, a museum dedicated to the every-day objects from an obsessive love-affair. The museum was created by nobel-prize winning author Orhan Pamuk in tandem with his novel of the same name, both centering around the lives of two families in Istanbul. Gee explores loves stories through the objects in the museum before exploring the landscape of Istanbul at night to produce a film about loveand the chemistry of the city, adding further layers to the already multilayered Museum of Innocence.

The director Grant Gee will be in conversation with Gareth Evans, curator of film at the Whitechapel Art Gallery.

Refreshments will be served before the screening.
