In light of the continuing coronavirus epidemic, all events and late shopping evenings due to take place in March and April have unfortunately been postponed indefinitely. Please see our blog for more details.
In his latest book Greenery (Cape) ornithologist and environmental writer Tim Dee travels in search of spring, from South Africa via Chad and the Sahara to Spain and northern Europe. Always alert to the sounds, sights and smells of nature, his observations are throughout informed by poetry – in what used to be his day job, Tim Dee was a Radio 4 producer, most notably on the long-running poetry requests programme Poetry, Please!
Dee will be in conversation about his travels with the writer Julia Blackburn, whose many books have covered topics as diverse as Billie Holiday, the Tuscan countryside, the Norfolk artist John Craske, Goya and most recently in Time Song the lost continent of Doggerland.
