Francesco Mazzei

Francesco Mazzei is Chef Patron at Sartoria restaurant in Mayfair, having previously spent seven years as co-owner and Chef Patron at L’Anima.

From the age of eight, he worked in his uncle’s gelateria in Calabria, and after a catering qualification has subsequently worked at the Michelin starred restaurant Eden Terrazza, The Dorchester, Hakkasan and Yauatcha, among other restaurants. He currently works together with the Calabrian government, consulting on how to promote their artisan foodstuffs outside of the country and has a cookbook, Mezzogiorno: Francesco Mazzei Recipes from Southern Italy, due out in autumn 2015.
