Sarah Howe and Sandeep Parmar

A decade on from her T.S. Eliot prize-winning poetry collection Loop of Jade, Sarah Howe has returned with Foretokens, exploring family, language, colonialism and motherhood, in poems ‘as luminous as beams of morning light’ (in the words of Xiaolu Guo).

Howe discussed the collection with Sandeep Parmar, whose most recent collection is Faust.
