Adam Thirlwell is an author, editor, and contributor to numberous publications, among them The New York Times, The Believer, The Guardian and Esquire. He was included on the 2003 Granta Best of Young British Writers list before his first novel, Politics, had even been published. Subsequent books include Miss Herbert, ‘a book of Novels, Romances & their Unknown Translators, Containing Ten Languages Set on Four Continents, & Accompanied by Maps, Portraits, Squiggles, Illustrations, & a Variety of Helpful Indexes'; The Escape; and Kapow!, an experimental book with unfolding pages designed by Studio Frith. Multiples, is an exercise in literary Chinese Whispers which sees 12 stories translated in and out of 18 languages by an array of internationally acclaimed novelists. His most recent novel is Lurid and Cute (Vintage).
