Karl Ove Knausgaard

Karl Ove Knausgaard is a writer. His first novel, Out of the World, was awarded the Norwegian Critics Prize for Literature, and was followed by the award-winning A Time for Every Purpose Under Heaven.

He is best known for his six-volume autobiographical work, My Struggle. The books have excited controversy and critical acclaim in equal measure. In an interview with The Paris Review, Knausgaard described the work as 'about the little and the small, where in life we are'.
