Author of the Month: Andrew Sean Greer
Selected by the Bookshop
Our Author of the Month for June is the American novelist Sean Andrew Greer, whose comic masterpiece Less was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 2018.
His other works include a sequel to Less (Less is Lost), The Confessions of Max Tivoli – described by John Updike as ‘enchanting, in the perfumed, dandified style of disenchantment brought to grandeur by Proust and Nabokov’ – and, just published this month, Villa Coco, a gloriously bonkers picaresque tale set in the hills of Tuscany. Gary Shteyngart has hailed it as ‘the literary treat of the year.’
Check out a full list of his titles below and come and meet them in the flesh throughout June in Bury Place.
