Granta Best of Young British Novelists 2023

Selected by the Bookshop

Every ten years, Granta magazine names their 20 best British novelists under 40, and it’s always an influential list – Kazuo Ishiguro, Salman Rushdie, Jeanette Winterson and Zadie Smith are among the writers named in previous decades. The latest list is out, and it’s full of new names that are already firm shop favourites: our boy Tom Crewe first among them.
