Siri Hustvedt

Our Author of the Month for May this year is the American novelist and essayist Siri Hustvedt. Her wide range of interests, from feminism to psychiatry, from the history of art to neurobiology, is displayed throughout her work, whether in fiction The Summer without Men, in essay form Living, Thinking, Looking or in memoir The Shaking Woman. Her latest book Ghost Stories, published this month, is a moving patchwork of memories recounting her 40-year marriage to fellow writer Paul Auster.
