Anne Michaels is a poet and novelist. Her first collection of poetry, The Weight of Oranges, was awarded the Commonwealth Prize, and her second, Miner's Pond, won National Magazine Award. Her collection, Correspondences, shortlisted for the 2014 Griffin Prize, creates a dialogue between poetry and portraits by painter Bernice Eisenstein. She is the author of two novels, Winter Vault and Fugitive Pieces, the latter of which was awarded the Orange Prize for Fiction and the Guardian Fiction Prize.
In 2017, she will publish two new volumes: Infinite Gradation, her first volume of non-fiction, from House Sparrow Press, and All We Saw, her latest collection of poetry.
