Tom Pickard

Tom Pickard is a poet. As the founder of the legendary Morden Tower readings in Newcastle, Pickard became a seminal presence in the British Poetry Revival of the sixties and seventies. In addition to numerous poetry collections, he has written television plays, radio and documentary film scripts and opera librettos, and has collaborated and performed with a host of musicians, writers and poets. His poem sequence 'Lark and Merlin', published in Poetry, won the Bess Hokin Prize in 2011.
