Author of the Month: Katherine Rundell

Our Author of the Month for August is children's author, playwright, scholar and adventurer, Katherine Rundell. One of the most exciting children's authors writing at the moment, her award-winning novels reflect her real life taste for adventure, whether it's roaming across rooftops at night like Sophie and Matteo in Rooftoppers, running with wolves like The Wolf Wilder's Feo, or canoeing down the Amazon and feasting on grubs like Fred in her latest book The Explorer. Philip Pullman has called her 'a writer with an utterly distinctive voice and a wild imagination.' On top of all that, she's found time to adapt Saki's short stories for the stage, write regularly for the London Review of Books and be elected as a Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford.

Come to the shop throughout to August to check out our display of her books, or find out more about them below.
